About Lau
Laura Martínez Arjona · Founder of INNER by Lau
Everything I have learnt about the body has led me inwards.
Born in Tarragona, Laura is a certified Yoga teacher and expert in movement and wellbeing in Barcelona.
01The beginning
Movement is part of my life
Yoga came into my life more than fifteen years ago. Little by little it stopped being just a personal practice and became my profession.
Since then I have never stopped teaching, training and practising. My understanding of the body has grown with every class and every person.
02Experience
A perspective built over the years
- +15 years
- of connection with yoga and movement
- +12 years
- of professional experience
- Children
- Teenagers
- Adults
- Women
- Older adults
I have guided children, teenagers, adults, women and older adults. Today I still teach yoga and toning classes designed for older adults.
Working with such different people has taught me something essential: there is no single way to work the body. Each person arrives with their own story, needs, limits, goals and relationship with movement. That is why INNER starts from listening and adapting.

- Hospital Sant Joan de Déu
Among other projects and organisations. Very different settings, with very different communities.
03Training

04Training & teaching
Sharing knowledge is also part of my practice
Alongside my path as a Yoga teacher and movement professional, I have built substantial experience as a trainer and educator.
I was an official trainer at Duet Fit, where I trained the company's staff in Yoga principles so they could occasionally cover for the instructors.
During that time I trained a wide team of professionals, sharing knowledge and practical tools to bring the fundamental principles of Yoga into their sessions safely and mindfully.
Later, after Duet Fit joined VivaGym, I continued this training work with their teams.
I have also taught on the Higher Vocational Programme in Physical Conditioning at Escola Sant Ignasi de Sarrià, giving Yoga classes as part of the training of future movement and fitness professionals.
These experiences are part of the essence of INNER:
sharing knowledge, going deeper into the body and offering tools to understand movement from within.
Today I also want to share this knowledge.
INNER opens a space to keep learning: workshops, trainings, masterclasses and experiences created to explore the body, movement and wellbeing more deeply.

The body is not just something we train
Caring for the body doesn't just mean training it. It means getting to know it, listening to it, understanding it and learning to connect with it.
- Strength
- Mobility
- Breathing
- Awareness
- Rest
- Connection
I don't separate body, mind and emotion. I experience them as parts of one and the same experience, and that is how I work with them.
It is also perfectly valid to want to feel strong, toned, defined or attractive. Comfortable in your own skin. Not as an obligation or a standard to live up to, but as part of something bigger.
Feeling good on the inside and recognising ourselves on the outside can be part of the same wellbeing.
06Motherhood
Learning to listen
During my pregnancy I started practising prenatal yoga. It was a stage that taught me to experience my body from a different place: to observe, breathe, adapt and accompany every change.
That experience transformed the way I see things. It confirmed to me that the body has its own intelligence when we learn to listen to it.
07What inspires me
What moves me, on and off the mat
-
Movement
Strength, glutes, the gym, swimming, padel, mountain biking. And yoga, always.
-
Meditation
A way of listening, observing and connecting.
-
Rest
The sauna: my space for pause, silence and reflection.
-
Sea
Lanzarote, Tenerife, Mallorca, Ibiza, Formentera.
-
Music
Six years of classical ballet as a child, guitar lessons and very eclectic taste.
-
Design and beauty
Design
Fashion, interior design, architecture, food and quiet luxury.
I studied Tourism and lived in Paris during university, in Le Marais. The city, the museums, the showrooms and fashion taught me to see differently. Since then I have known that the beauty of a well-designed space or well-cooked food is also part of wellbeing.
-
Curiosity
I read and research the body, behaviour, neuroscience, nutrition, beauty and habits. Out of curiosity, and to keep learning.
-
Beauty
Fashion, art and the details.
-
Travel
Places that feel like home.
-
Nature
Open spaces, freedom and light.
-
Sun
Mediterranean light.
The sea, the sun and open spaces are part of how I feel at home.
- Barcelona
- Roc Sant Gaietà
- Mallorca
- Ibiza
- Formentera
- Lanzarote
- Tenerife
07My universe
My universe
INNER is not just a set of classes. It is also everything that inspires and sustains me.
Music
Movement, music and rhythm have always been part of my life in different ways.
A way of seeing
I am drawn to meditation, intuition and sensitivity: everything that invites us to listen, observe and connect.
08Beyond a class
Wellbeing doesn't end when the class ends
An hour of practice matters. But wellbeing is also built in everything else: in how we rest, how we move during the day, what we eat and the attention we give ourselves.
It's not a diet or a set of rules: it's my way of living day to day.
Rest
Sleeping well and knowing when to stop.
Daily movement
Moving a little every day, beyond the class.
Simple eating
Mediterranean, varied, with good ingredients.
Curiosity
Continuing to learn about your own body.
Self-care
Small everyday gestures, sustained over time.
09Why INNER
Everything comes together here
INNER brings this whole journey together: the years of practice and teaching, every training, every person I have accompanied and everything I am still learning.
INNER is the centre: what happens inside our body and our being. It is my way of sharing a holistic approach to caring for the body from within.
